Of course, there is a downside to these free baby product samples. By applying for them, you put yourself on mailing lists. This, of course, increases the amount of junk mail you will get in the following months and years. Nonetheless, a little extra junk mail is a small price to pay for all that free stuff! When you are a new parent, after all, every penny counts. If there are companies out there willing to give you samples of free baby products, it is completely worth having to wade through the junk mail from time to time.

Another great thing about free baby product samples is that they give you the chance to check out the different products. Every parent wants what's best for his or her baby, but finding what babies like can be pretty difficult. They can't very well reach out and say that they like brand x diapers better than brand y, or that they would rather have a purple toy than a pink one. Usually, they will laugh or smile when they like something, and grimace or cry when they don't.
